Principal's Message

St Bernadette’s Primary is recognised for our community spirit. This spirit is inspired by our Catholic faith and commitment to excellence in learning and teaching. We put students at the centre of learning and prepare them for a changing and challenging world.

Our Catholic identity is important to us. We are inspired to relate well with each other and with our community. Our school’s core values of respect for ourselves, others and the environment acknowledges the presence of God within each of us and around us. We encourage our community members to be accepting, loving, forgiving, and encouraging in all aspects of learning and living. We foster faith development by providing a supportive learning environment and opportunities for faith formation.

We engage our students by facilitating rich and meaningful experiences, through a stimulating curriculum and in a modern learning environment. We focus on the development of well-integrated students and enable them to develop spiritually, cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. This is reflected in our pastoral care policy and in all we do.

We strive to provide a Catholic education that is relevant and meaningful for each child. Our staff are committed to fostering thoughtful, resourceful, happy, and faith-centred students, who will be able to contribute positively to the school and wider communities in which they live.

Our community works in partnership and includes our students and their families, our staff, parish priests, and the parishioners of St Bernadette’s Parish. We celebrate our cultural diversity.

I invite you to visit us at St Bernadette’s, and learn more about our community spirit and the quality education we offer.
